Released

Five years, one month, and twenty seven days.

(Not that I have been counting.)

When Dallan was called as Bishop over five years ago, I told him there was no way I was calling him Bishop.

It just felt weird.

Plus, if I ever needed to talk to a bishop, chances were I just needed to complain about him.

Luckily that never happened.

I think I will start calling him Bishop now.

He looks so happy here, but truth be told he is very, very sad.

Maybe even feeling a little lost.

Don't worry, were going to take good care of him.

Goodbye, Bishop.

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

  1. Awww, and what a great bishop he was. I guess I should say is, since it's what he'll always be referred to as now. I know Jeff LOVED serving with him and was a great example. Thanks for all the sacrifices that were made during the time he served.

  7. This is so crazy since we moved here over four years ago. Where did the time go? Love the pics to mark a new beginning for the family. I cried when I got released--only took about a week to come to my senses though. :) Get him out golfing and he'll be fine. Though I'm sure that's the last thing you want to do since you just got him back. Thanks for everything!!

P.S. Does this mean I can tell the texting story now? j/k :)

  8. I love the family pictures. You look like a bishop's family. That is scary since you are my high school friend and I believe you should remain that way. I'm so happy you get your husband back. You are awesome.
