Underwater Camera Case

I mentioned a few weeks ago that we were trying out the Dry Pack Camera Case. For around $11 on Amazon I thought it would be fun for the kids this summer.

We used an older Canon Power Shot 7.1 mega pixel camera. I didn't dare put anything newer inside not knowing if the water seal really worked.

I am happy to report it sealed out the water fabulously. The only downside was the pictures came out slightly blurry.

You can use it outside of the water, but the pictures come out slightly hazy from shooting through the bag.

I think the best part has been that I have been able to let the kids take pictures at the pool and I haven't had to stress about the camera.

For example Taylor captured this picture of Matthew. (Surprisingly she didn't think to snap me yelling and running towards him.)

Matthew thought it would be far more fun to treat the diving board as a trampoline, instead of an actual board for diving into water.

After much whistle blowing and yelling from the life guard he finally decided to go ahead and jump in.

And I spent five minutes explaining that handicapped kids don't really care about the real intent and purpose of pool equipment.

Then he did it three more times before he finally got the idea to just jump in the water.

The life guard was very nice about all of it in the end.

Anywho, the kids still had a great time shooting with the camera case, and it definitely has been entertaining at the pool this summer.
