Lamp before and after

I just bought this lamp and it was definitely one of those love it in the store, hate it in my home kind of purchases. I didn't want to return it because I love the size and detail, so I just made a few changes.



I cut off the fringe on the shade and added orange ruffles. The whole lamp got a quick coat of Heritage White spray paint.



Much better!

    Okay, this is my next project! I have similar lamps that I am sick of! Also, don't even tell me Dallan made you that cute shelving it is standing on!!! LOVE IT!

    I like the much lighter, less ornate look you gave this lamp. It looks new and fresh!

    Umm thanks for the inspiration, i've had 2 of these in my garage FOREVER waiting for SOMETHING :) The ruffles are fabulous!!

    ijust found your blog and think its fab! I love how your have a mixture of junky goodness with clean lines and fresh colors in your decorating. I want to be like you when I grow up (but I'm probably WAY older than you so how would that work?)

    Loving this lamp! You had great vision to even buy this in the first place. The ruffles are super cute.
