In fact, the only time she would ever sleep during the day was when her mother convinced her to watch a movie in a dark, dark room.
Or sit in front of a big, big television.
But alas, this was not very often.
As you can imagine, the mommy was very frustrated.
She lost lots of hair and ate lots of ice cream.
(This is called stress.)
Then she announced the tweenager would be moving out of her room and the toddler would be moving in where the mother could lock the door and no one had to listen to the fits of a sleep deprived two year old.
(This is called sleep training and is also very stressful.)
The tweenager was surprisingly kind and realized her mother dear was very tired of dealing with said two year old.
And also would increase her allowance.
And so we have the current state of bedroom #4, a.k.a. Lily's new room, OR as I now call it the place where the screaming girl tries to daily kick down the door.
BUT... we are on day three of successful napping, and OH MY, I am a happy mommy again.
But I still like ice cream.
.
ReplyDeleteOh how adorable are her little feet! I love that picture! :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, 2 year olds are just SO much fun, ha ha! I love her room though!!
ReplyDeleteI had to smile at this. I remember the same thing with my daughter, who is now 16. I photographed her napping too, 'cause it was rare! She is still a hand full, ( sorry, it's true - this is a warning) I still pull my hair out but at least I get to sleep.
