Dallan cut me a piece of MDF board and I painted it with some leftover house paint.
Then I gave it a hint of a dark glaze.
I had this cord from a vintage waffle iron that I thought would be cool to have the artwork hanging from.
Next step... spray paint! Am I the last person to blog about Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze? Maybe. Good stuff, though.
I wanted the clips and screws going into the board to not be such a bright silver so they all got a good coat of spray paint.
Here's a little tip- when spray painting screws or cabinet hardware, stick them in florist foam so they don't roll all over the place.
And here's the finished product!
Four kids = four clips. So far Matthew has made about a billion drawings of Angry Birds to hang up. Anyone else obsessed with this game?
That's it!
Before I go a very big THANK YOU for helping with my desk chair dilemma. It was a close race, chair A won by one vote! Several of you suggested a cushion which I never thought about so I am excited to sew something comfy for it. I have already changed the lamp so an update will be coming soon!
i love it. now i want to go do something with my broken one.
