Inside the playhouse

So here's the front door again:

And here's what it looks like when you first walk in. When I asked the kids what they wanted inside they said something like a schoolhouse or a fun place to read. So it's both.

Reading corner on the left. I need to make some cozy pillows and a slipcover for the cushion. School desks and stacked chairs on the right.

And the right corner across from the cushion has an old metal cart for toy storage. I imagine these toys will rotate out with water and bubble toys as the weather warms up.

The rug was in Taylor's room, which is now Lily's room as you know. I am happy to find this rug a new home as it is intended for outdoors anyway.

The entire space is eight by eight feet. The ceiling is six feet in the back and eight in the front. I hope it will be a great space for all four kids to play and the occasional parent too.

I am sure things will get moved around as we determine the best use of the space. Soooo... more to come!
