We tried something new this year.
Dad went out with the children and Mom stayed home to answer the door.
It was quite lovely.
I sipped hot wassail and sewed to my hearts delight.
Did you know hot wassail is served at the Wright house to all parents of trick-or-treaters?
Totally worth coming over.
Back to the kiddos.
They have decided dad is much more fun trick-treating. Instead of canvasing twenty minutes like Mom, Dad takes you out for two hours.

Score.

I love the pure delight on Taylor's face! What is she dressed as? Matthew looks great! Such a handsome Harry! I haven't made wassail yet this year (it just isn't cold enough yet). Do you drink it cold the next morning for juice? It is just as yummy.
I wish I was at your house to help out with all that yummy American candy :) Enjoy!
Oh, so funny! Yeah, that's a lot of candy. Reminds me of when I was young. I took a pillowcase and ran as fast as I could from house to house. I think I was 12 when I finally quit going.
You need to post pictures of Evey and Lily in their costumes- I never got to see them dressed up :(
What a good idea, glad you had a good night!
That wassail was absolutely wonderful. Can I have the recipe?
Matthew was great as Harry Potter!
And dad's are soo much nicer than mom and will probably figure out a way to carry both a 2 year old and a crying 4 year old all the way back home!
